    Controlling Entity Access

Users with CDM administrative permissions can manage and control entity access. By default, all users have access to every entity within your organization. To restrict access, you can assign specific entities to users. Once assigned, the user only has access to those designated entities.

    Assigning entity access

    1. Select CDM Settings > Entity Access Control.

    2. Select the entity in the Select Entity pane. The Select Entity pane shows a list of entities as well as the number of assigned users.

    3. Assign users from the Available Users pane in the upper right.

    4. Select the users you want to assign to a department.

    5. Click Assign. The # Assigned column automatically updates as new users are assigned to a department.

    Note

The Select Entity pane lists entities, as well as the number of assigned users. Blank fields within the # Assigned column indicate that limited access to the entity has not been set.

Organizations have the ability to review and manage users who are assigned to view specific entities.

    Viewing

    1. Select CDM Settings > Entity Access Control.

    2. Select the entity to view users who are currently assigned to any entity. The list of assigned users is visible in the lower right side of the window.

    Removing

    1. Select CDM Settings > Entity Access Control.

    2. Select the entity, then select the users from the Assigned Users pane to remove users from an entity.

    3. Click Remove.
